Diabetes Association - Tour de Cure

Mt. Harmony Children’s Shelter
- Located in Southern Maryland, this shelter offers,
socialization, recreation and an inboard education program
licensed by Maryland
State Department of Education
- 2003-Present
- Christmas gifts purchased by our office with donations from
patients and staff

Every Holiday season we set up an angel tree in our reception
area where our family, friends and patients can take an angel
off the tree with a child’s name on it and purchase
toys/clothing for that specific child
- When the back to school season is upon us, we again raise
funds to provide the children with shoes and back to school
items
they need to begin their academic year.
- This includes taking the boys to the Annapolis Mall
Athletes Foot and allowing them to pick out any pair
of shoes they
would like, followed by a pizza dinner.

Food Link
- An organization with its purpose to rescue an
existing resource, surplus edible but not sellable perishable
food, and to transport
that food to people in need
- Our office sponsors families in need of assistance for the
holidays by providing food and clothing for a specific
family/families
Relay for Life sponsored by the American Cancer Society
- May 2000
- Overnight relay in which each team member took turn walking/running
around track
- Raised over $21,000
- Staff, staff family and patient participants
Breast Cancer Awareness
- Annually every October
- Raise funds for Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation by
raffling off a basket filled with pink goodies to our
patients
Children’s Dental Day
- 1997-Present
- Held once annually to help under-privileged children who otherwise
would not be able to afford proper dental care
- Our office has seen over 500 children in the past 9 years
- “This event is a wonderful opportunity to change the state
of dental health in our community’s children by calling
attention to the oral health epidemic and the need to educate
families and improve access to dental care,” said

Runway on the Runway
- May 2010
- Raised money for Ronald McDonald House
- Sponsored by Southwest Airlines
- Dental goodie basket donated
Maryland Federation of Art
- Donated funds for Maryland Federation of Art.
- Funds helped to continue to provide a forum for emerging and
established artists in our region, and to promote our
arts education and community outreach programs.
Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC)
- Various foundations donated to over the years
through AAMC
The Lighthouse Shelter, Annapolis, MD
- Provided toiletries and dental products for those
in the shelter
- Donated food, clothing and canned goods
Annapolis and Surrounding Area Middle Schools and High Schools
- Donated to various fundraisers/events sponsored
by area public/private schools
